Exhibition history: The exhibition was first held in Qingdao in 1996 and has undergone more than 20 years of development. Its scale has expanded year by year and its influence has continued to increase. It has become an important event in the fishing industry and is known as one of the world's three major fishing exhibitions, along with the Boston Fish Expo and the Barcelona Fish Expo.
Scale and influence of the exhibition: The 28th exhibition in 2025 will cover an area of 115000 square meters, attracting more than 1560 companies from over 50 countries and regions, over 1562 registered exhibitors from 47 countries and regions, and 45279 professional visitors from 139 countries and regions. In addition, 343000 professional buyers visited the exhibition business platform - "Global Fisherman's Fair" online more than 2.47 million times. It is the world's second largest seafood trade exhibition, directly reflecting China's important position as the world's largest seafood trading country and the most active seafood market.
Scope of exhibits: including aquatic raw materials, processed products, aquatic food, aquaculture and processing machinery and equipment, related technologies and services, covering the entire industry chain of marine products, seedling feed, aquaculture processing, technical equipment, cold chain logistics, etc.
Highlights of the exhibition: The exhibition gathers new products and technologies from the global aquaculture industry, providing a platform for enterprises to showcase their innovative achievements. Various forums, seminars, training and other supporting activities will also be held, such as the Global Forum on Sustainable Fisheries Development and the International Forum on Aquaculture in Silk Road Countries, to promote international cooperation and exchange in fisheries trade and strengthen the connection of the global industrial chain.
